Sheilagh Guy Murphy – Rita


Sheilagh Guy Murphy is a NL performer who has been working in the Arts for many years as an actor on stage, radio, television, and recently short films. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Newfoundland Young Peoples Theatre, a professional company dedicated to young audiences. Her short stories have received numerous awards including the NL Arts and Letters Competition and The Atlantic Canada Short Story Contest. Sheilagh wrote, produced and directed “To The Sea In Ships” a play based on the 1914 SS Newfoundland Sealing disaster which premiered in 2014 . Currently she co-produces musical theatre, including the highly acclaimed “Our Divas “, now in it’s 12th year. Her voice is recognized on many TV and radio commercials. Sheilagh utilizes her artistic talents to assist many annual charitable events, for which she has been recognized with The Queen’s Jubilee Medal, The Governor General’s Award for Caring Canadians and The Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers

Paula Morgan – Jackie


Paula got her acting start in local theatre productions with companies like The Beothuck Street Players and Shakespeare by the Sea. Gradually moving into film and television roles, she has performed opposite such actors as Joel Hynes (Down to the Dirt, 2008), Mark O’Brien (Republic of Doyle, 2013) and Aaron Abrams and Connor Jessup(Closet Monster, 2016). She has completed training with actor Bob Joy (‘Sid Hammerback’ of CSI NY) and played opposite him in the film ‘Down to the Dirt.’ It has been an honour for her to perform in both the 2015 and 2016 RBC Michelle Jackson Award films (Jenina MacGillivray’s ‘The Tour’ and Wanda Nolan’s ‘Crocuses’ respectively). A versatile actor, Paula has also worked on a wide variety of print, television, internet and radio advertisements. She worked as a radio broadcaster/journalist for a year, learning the technical aspects of broadcasting. She studied Arts/Education at Memorial University and is also bilingual (French).

Emily Corcoran is an eighteen-year-old film and theatre actress residing in Newfoundland. She has worn many hats in the business in her short career, including actress/writer/director/stage manager/producer though has a passion for acting above all. Her recent film credits include Crocuses (Wanda Nolan), Twice (David Feehan), Up Close & Personal (Jana Gillis) and Sadie (Latonia Hartery). Recent theatre credits include Love and Information, Perfect Wedding, Work in Progress and Salt Water Moon. Her debut as a writer/director Shattered Mind’s Eye is currently in post-production.
